Positive: This is a unique property which provides something different for a seasoned traveller. It's a great place to switch off and unwind and do very little. Sitting by the pool reading a book, or watching the sunset in the evening. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were impressed by the set up of the tent. Nice to have the fan at night, as we were there at the end of May and it was very warm. Staff were friendly and polite, and the food generally was good with generous portions, particularly at breakfast. Lovely to have daily housekeeping with two bottles of complimentary water per day; very much appreciated this little detail.

Negative: We felt there were just a few things missing that could have really elevated the experience. We felt compared to other hotels we've stayed out it was more of a 3* than a 4*. Around the pool, it's a bit of a mess. We sat from 10am to around 6pm each day, and there were dirty glasses full of rubbish and half drunk drinks from the previous day sat on tables next to the beds, and old dirty towels, and no one came round to clean them up. At one point someone came to drop off new towels, but no one did any sort of housekeeping around the pool. We were there for three full days and saw this happen each day, so certainly wasn't a one off. No shower at one of the pools, which wasn't ideal. Also doesn't quite feel like there are enough sun-loungers/beds at the pools. We are early risers so had no problems getting a bed, but watched plenty of guests arrive and have to leave due to no beds/seats left. There is a poolside bar at one of the swimming pools, but no service. Would have loved to be able to order a soft-drink or soda, but no one to ask. Again, there for multiple days, so wasn't a one off. There is also no bar snacks or light bites menu, so you cannot order food whilst by the pool, and would have been nice to have this option as between restaurant meal times (there's only one restaurant) as there's no way to get any food/fruit/snacks. Our shower didn't work properly, no pressure if you wanted any warm/hot water, only pressure at freezing cold. Very few gluten-free options for breakfast and dinner. Emailed in advance to ask about requesting some fresh fruit and snacks on arrival (I'm pregnant with low blood sugar!), but this wasn't granted. No burnt coffee grounds or citronella candles on tables at meals so be aware there are lots of flies. By the way, advice to travellers staying here; bring earplugs!
