Positive: Beautiful location right in the heart of Todra Gorge. We arrived a bit late in the evening, and in the dark we initially couldn’t spot the hotel—it turned out to be just a two-minute walk across a small bridge. If you’re arriving after sunset, it’s good to note that the internet connection in the area is quite poor, so make sure you know the location beforehand. The place itself is amazing. Our rooms were inside a small stone castle, with one bedroom for our daughter and one for us. The decor was simple but very comfortable, and the washbasin in the bathroom had real fossils embedded in it—a fascinating touch we had never seen before. We visited in December, but during spring or summer it must be wonderful to relax on the sun loungers outside your room, surrounded by lemon and orange trees and the breathtaking view of the gorge. The property is quite large, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. We had dinner on-site, accompanied by live music played by the staff—such a lovely surprise. The food was good and nicely presented, though not extraordinary. We tried both vegetarian and meat moussaka, while our daughter had a chicken tagine with lemon. The bathroom had a bathtub and running warm water, though it seemed limited—after my long shower, there wasn’t much left for my husband. It’s a small thing, easily forgiven considering the remote location. Overall, the hotel is very clean, well maintained, and set in an extraordinary location with stunning views. The food is good, and the service is warm and friendly. Truly a memorable stay with nothing to fault.
