Positive: Quirky is the word that immediately comes to mind. It took me a little while to relax here, but once we settled in, it was nicer than our first impression. The property is quite hard to find, and our room felt like it was right in the middle of the courtyard. I was initially a bit miffed, as I had requested a quiet room, but in reality it turned out to be quieter than expected. One odd detail was that there was no door between the bathroom and bedroom, and the sheets were very thin and quite hard. This was the “deux double” room, which felt slightly cheeky as a description. We’d been doing some pretty hardcore backpacking and had booked this as a bit of a treat, so at first it felt like a letdown. That said, once we relaxed on the rooftop, the place grew on us, and overall it did turn out to be a calm and peaceful stay.

Negative: no door to the bathroom - did not feel like a delux room as was written in the description
