Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property was stylish, calm, quiet and clean. The roof terrace was a sun trap where we spent hours chatting and reading. Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive and helpful. They spoke good English . The location is about 25 minutes from the main square and only a couple of minutes from where a taxi can collect and drop off. It was nice to be a few streets from the madness! The pool is a lovely addition although only one of our party was brave enough to go in! I bet it’s lovely in the warmer months.

Negative: We were unable to have showers when we wanted on a couple of the days. Apparently there was a burst main yesterday but again this morning, there was only a trickle of cold water and the pressure was so low that I had to sit on the floor to wash and wasn’t able to wash my hair. Staff left a tip box on our bed on the morning of our departure whilst we were at breakfast . I found this distasteful. We were going to leave tips anyway. It made me feel that their friendly, helpful behaviour had been inauthentic and transactional. Shame.

Summary: Really nice riad where you will be comfortable, safe and well looked after.
