Located near the first capital of Maryland, St. Mary's city, historic Colonial and Civil War sites and memorial, and the United States Naval Test Center, St. Mary's county offers something for everyone. Summary: Thank you Lauri and Scott for welcoming us to your beautiful cottage and beach! This was a great fit for our family of four with two school age boys. I liked the open space in the home so I could see our boys play while I was prepping food in the kitchen. I appreciated that the kitchen had all I needed to make simple meals. I loved that the beach was right out down below the lawn so our boys could have fun skipping rocks, finding shells and sea glass and come right back inside to cool off. We had so much fun kayaking to the longer beach and back and on our last full day we got to see a thunderstorm roll in. It was a beautiful place to spend a few days to rest and play. Lauri annd Scott, you are wonderful hosts!! We hope to come back!
