Positive: Staff were lovely and helpful throughout hotel, at all levels. Really good breakfast in hotel itself. Big variety to suit most cultural palates, no bacon (but is a Muslim country so didn't expect it). Cooked eggs anyway we liked. Sensational bread and croissants, freshly squeezed OJ. Room service standard of food was surpringly good. Staff really so helpful and attentive. Restaurant, part of the hotel is on the beach. And we had lunch and dinner there a few times. Excellent food. Small but varied menu. Open all day so could eat at odd times to suit ourselves. Bar at hotel. Didn't use it, as went into town. Pool looked good but was too cold for me to use, as it's December. Others used it and ate breakfast around the pool too, and sunned themselves. Nice area to use. Town and restaurants in there. Enjoyed it all. Shop people were not hassling. Essaouira was a great place to be. Huge mix of places to eat. La Table by Madada was amazing. Very impressed. Lots of lovely little streets and so many cats that everyone looks after. They lie in the middle of paths, and everyone walks around them. Took so many pictures of the cats and shopkeepers allow them to sleep on their wares, fed them fish at the market, put down cat food for them. Fabulous. They are loved. We loved Essaouira and will go back. The hotel is perfectly situated for the town and for everything. It's undergoing some renovations but that didn't get in the way. Will definitely come back to the hotel. Beach was over from the hotel. Swam there. Exhilarating. Gentle shelving so easy to swim. Protected as by the harbour so felt safe.

Negative: Nothing not to like.
