Summary: This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Augustin. The hotel and room were clean and safe, the staff friendly and helpful. A few minor inconveniences (as an American in Paris)- the room was small and tight for space, but after a day or so you get used to it (though no drawers or closet is challenging for a couple). Room service came late, sometimes after we returned from our day out (requiring us to leave the room), but they did maintain the room nicely. Breakfast while convenient was repetitive and limited. Afternoon/evening snacks and refreshments were welcome after a long hot day. The location is safe and accessible to Gare Lazare, however on the weekend many of the restaurants and shops are closed as the area appears to be more of a business district. Galleries de Lafayette is a 15 min walk as is Champ de Elysee. Overall a good experience, though a bit dull for entertainment and immediate browsing/shopping.
