Positive: We absolutely loved this beautiful place. The rooms are like houses and they are very comfortable to stay in. The air comforting was good (and needed!). The pool attracts wildlife and there’s an abundance of biodiversity. There are genuinely lovely staff, they are discreet but also attentive and very relatable. It’s an absolute gem of a place and hard to beat. It is not often in life that you’ll get to stay in such a fantastic place.

Negative: The hotel is quite isolated in a rural village near Amizmiz. We knew this before booking and we didn’t mind. Outside the hotel you hear people getting on with their lives and children playing in the evenings. It’s good to get off the beaten track a bit. The area has struggled in the wake of the 2023 earthquake but local people are obviously resilient. There are things to do locally (with excellent guides) and at least some of the money you spend here goes back into the local economy. Especially if you use the local guides and taxi drivers, and make a point of visiting the Tuesday market.

Summary: Unbeatable rural getaway with wonderful staff.
