We've renovated our basement to be a cozy, separate guest suite with everything you need for a beautiful stay in Kentucky. With a full kitchen and a private patio, you'll enjoy your time in your private space as much as you'll enjoy all the excitement Louisville has to offer. From horse racing to bourbon trail and delicious local city eats, Louisville has something for everyone!
We do have kids and 2 small dogs but our house is overall, pretty quiet and pups are tucked away upstairs when we have visitors :)
P.S. Our dogs are not allowed in the guest suite.
P.P.S. If you have read past guest reviews that mention our chickens; turns out, city life was not for them so they have moved to a farm in the country and are no longer a feature on our property.

Summary: Nice enough snug space and owners, clean, modern, etc but feel they’re are some key critiques to note: this is a recent Vrbo listing that has been previously and still is listed with a competing rental svc, where there is important info in the overview that is not included on Vrbo, and which we didn’t happen to come across before booking. Specifically, it is in the basement of a family with kids and pets, all of which you have a good chance of hearing move across the floor at any given time. The Vrbo listing only has a somewhat vague/ambiguous and indirect reference to this buried in the Damage and Incidentals section if you expand to “see more.,” which states “This is a family home and we have neighbors.” There’s one modest window at ground level in main living space, but not much light to be gained from it. The kitchen seemed minimalist in some ways and could use a few more things, eg a dish cloth(s), a long handled dish brush that works in deeper items like glasses, cups etc, more than one hot pad to get large, heavy, hot dishes out of oven, more than one drying towel, options for smaller pot and pans. The cutting board looked to be marble or ceramic rather than wood or plastic. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever not had sugar, and often butter, at any of dozens of rentals. The response upon inquiry for sugar was that it isn’t something they provide. (they do live upstairs…) Lastly, the two total bed pillows were a little thick and slightly uncomfortable for both of us, but they had no alternatives.
