Choose this distinctive and comfortable house for your Derby weekend! Enjoy inviting accommodations for 6-8 adults, with a great kitchen, dining, and resting space for all. Central to downtown and the Downs, with lots to do, eat, and see just out the door. The Space Enjoy this fully renovated 100+ yr old home that combines all the charm of a historic house with the comfort and updates of a recent renovation. The master bedroom has a great view of the beautiful terrace, as well as a TV and full master bath with a Jacuzzi tub. One other bedroom on the second floor has twin beds, as well as a second full bath. The office on the second floor has a fold out couch for two additional spots to sleep (plus an elevated inflatable queen). The third floor bedroom (queen) is a private retreat, a space away from it all. The first floor includes a formal dining room with wet bar, a living room attached to the kitchen, and a welcoming foyer. Also enjoy a great cooking/entertaining kitchen, a screened-in back porch, an outdoor grill (gas and charcoal), and a backyard pergola to dine out. Parking for two cars in rear. Guests will have access to the complete house. Hosts are available to answer any questions about the house, neighborhood, dining or events around Louisville. Old Louisville is an eclectic mix of old historic housing located central to both downtown Louisville, U of Louisville, and Churchill Downs. In several spots in Old Louisville, there are walking courts - essentially a block without the street in the middle. Instead, there is a sidewalk in the center, creating a charming and closely knit community. We are a block away from the Olmsted-designed Central Park. Old Louisville has great, diverse, and distinctive restaurants/bars - all within easy walking distance (610 Magnolia, Bucks, Amici's, The Rudyard Kipling, and the rely opened Old Louisville Brewing Company) Buses run downtown and out towards the Downs on a regular basis, leaving/dropping from the end of the block. Cabs/Uber’s are always around for rides. Churchill Downs and Downtown are also easy walks, if you have a bit of time to enjoy a stroll.
