Positive: - The apartment is newly renovated, spacious, and very clean. - It offers a beautiful rooftop-style view over Madrid, which is a big plus. - Two separate large rooms, each with its own bathroom. One room has a dining table with 2 big couches, and the other has a seating area for 6.
Negative: Entrance and Layout: The entrance feels unusual. This is not a typical apartment; it’s a converted unit from a business center, which makes entering the building feel odd. The apartment itself doesn’t have a standard layout—there are two large spaces connected by a hallway. Check-in and Security: We never met any staff during check-in or throughout our stay. All communication was via WhatsApp, and the door was opened through an app. This app-controlled electronic lock felt insecure, especially at night, because it can be opened silently and remotely. There’s no way to mechanically ensure the door is locked and cannot be opened without your consent. A simple latch would make it feel safer. We felt uneasy both while sleeping and when leaving the apartment, knowing it could be opened remotely. Heating Issues: The apartment was freezing cold in November because the heaters weren’t working—clearly, there was an issue with the central heating system. We couldn’t get any response during the night, only the next morning. The owners provided two newly purchased electric heaters to fix the problem the following day. They also left some Nespresso capsules upon our demand to compansate the inconvinience. Unfair Damage Claim: After checkout, the owner sent us photos of some damaged items, suggesting they might have been caused during our stay. This was surprising because we left the apartment clean and in good condition. They mentioned they would ‘take it into consideration,’ but the implication felt uncomfortable.
Summary: Despite its modern design and great view, other experiences make it hard to recommend.
